We had a fun night at our birthday dinner. We had a nice dinner and many different cakes to choose from for dessert. Here are a few of the recipes that were served.

We also had a spice cake that was just a mix and then homemade frosting
Penuche Frosting
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 cups sifted powered sugar
In medium saucepan melt butter; stir in brown sugar. Cook and stir till bubbly. Remove from heat. Add milk; beat vigorously till smooth. By hand, beat in enough of the powdered sugar to make spreading consistency. Quickly frost the top of one 9 by 13 or 2 rounds.
